The environment of library services has changed dramatically as a result of the quick development of information technology. Academic, research, and public libraries now depend heavily on electronic resources including e-books, e-journals, online databases, institutional repositories, and digital archives. Although these resources improve information dissemination's accessibility, adaptability, and efficiency, managing them poses difficult organizational, financial, legal, and technological issues.
This review article summarizes the body of research on the main obstacles to managing electronic resources and investigates workable solutions that libraries throughout the globe have used to address these problems. In order to ensure successful e-resource management, the research emphasizes the significance of infrastructure development, personnel training, license management, policy design, and user awareness initiatives. Future directions for technology-driven and sustainable management techniques are suggested in the paper's conclusion.
